This past weekend I got me some 5 1/2 inch hoops from Michaels and a nice green cotton sheet from the thrift store. I love this shade of green and I have been wanting to stitch something in white onto color. I think a simple outline done in white can be so stunning. In honor of Easter coming up I thought I could do a dove. Here she (he?) is:
Dove with olive branch |
Dove with olive branch |
Dove with olive branch |

I did most of it with a split stitch with a single lazy daisy chain for the leaves, a french knot for the eye and the stem stitch for the branch. All simple stitches and I just love the simplicity of the outline. What do you think?
Beautiful! I wish I could do this! It's so pretty.
