The inspiration:
The embroidery:
I did the tree branch in a stem stitch, the flowers I used lazy daisy and the birds and two free floating flowers were done in a slip stitched chain with french knots as the bird's eyes and the middle of the flowers. The fabric I used is actually cotton lining removed from a thrifted skirt. I LOVE repurposing fabrics, have you tried it yet?

I love this! I'm a sucker for nature and outdoor scenes anyway, but I also love the embroidery -- really wish I knew how to do this! Thanks for sharing :)

Love it so pretty. It makes me want to get back to doing needlework. I always loved doing needlework, and every time I see you work it makes me want to get back to it. Following you on GFC. Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration at Sunday's Best.
