The inspiration ~ This sweet angel image from
The Graphics Fairy. Seriously, I love this blog. There are a few thousand vintage images, all free to use.
The embroidery ~ I printed out the angel on regular printer paper. I took her to a sunny window, and using an image transfer pencil, traced an embroidery ready version on the back of the paper. I then ironed the image on to the black of a blouse. A few (hours of) stitches and here she is!

I then changed out the buttons on the front of the blouse to these pink ones.
