I cannot even believe what good luck I had with garage sales yesterday! I was looking for jeans that I could cut into quilt squares so in that sense I didn't do well, I only came home with three pair. But I did find some SUPER cute colored capris and some pretty, very feminine, blouses and a dress with which to add some embroidery stitches. The clothing all looks new and unworn so I am very pleased. Those will be making their appearances in the coming weeks so stay tuned.......
As for the shop apron, that was a garage sale item also and like my scores from yesterday, it appeared new and unused. Here it is while
in progress.

And here is the embroidery:
This looks like a men's, or at least unisex, denim apron. But now it would look as good in the kitchen as it would in the workshop. I could totally throw some measuring spoons as easily as I could screwdrivers and drill bits into that huge pocket!

Or barbecue spices and a grill brush?

Oh! Oh! Oh! Seed packets! This actually reminds me, I have some tomato and zucchini seeds that need planting today.....

The butterfly was done in slip stitches and french knots.

And the floral scene was back stitches, lazy daisies and french knots.

And the fern stitch for the vine detail. In all, only four stitch styles. And it was done in a few hours. The french knots are my favorite to stitch, perhaps because of how long it took me to master them :)

I thought about adding some vintage lace to the pocket but thought it might be too much?
BEAUTIFUL embroidery - such a great apron!
