Tangerine Fabric Cuff with Vintage Lace

Okay, so there is no embroidery on this one. But I have been so inspired by it that I am working on some embroidered lacy cuffs. Get ready, ya'll, they're coming!

This cuff was made from a thrifted cotton sheet. I am now regretting that I have already cut the remainder of this fabric into quilt squares. So I have these adorable little blocks teasing me about what I should have done. The quilt had better be damned cute now.....

When I see a cuff, I think masculine. You know, the width, the snap closure. My son wears leather cuffs and they look so tough! I love that I can take a men's accessory style and make it so girly! Its like, I can accessorize my inner princess without looking like, well, a wannabe princess.

I would like to think that you have noticed my background for my photos. Isn't it gorgeous? Someday soon maybe I will do a post on just this location. I shoot in the late afternoon when the sun is low and the colors really warm up. And the best part?? This is right at the end of my street. Its, like, 4 houses down from mine. A 30 second walk. I used to have to travel for such a sweet spot. But no more! I have another field on the other side of the street. But those would have to be sunrise shots and . . . . I don't think so :)
