Vintage Style Little Nurse and Ginger Kitty Embroidery

I just love finding cute things to embroider on Graphics Fairy. It takes just a little imagination to convert an image into an embroidery pattern . . . . but not too much.
This one was out of a children's coloring book. This would be me, as a child as well as now. Nursing kitties (and other creatures) back to health :-)

I did it all in back stitch with french knots for the eyes.

I just love back stitch right now. It's like a felt pen but made of cotton. I do want to use different stitches in my next projects . . . . but this style is so simple and lets the image really speak for itself. Can you see that I used silver thread for the spoon?

I backed it with white cotton. Nice and simple.
