The Count of Monte Cristo

     Some day I will have to post a photo of my TBR (to be read) pile. If you'd seen my pile, you would understand that I DO NOT read many of the books that I create bracelets from. Haha, if I did read them, I would probably have only an eighth of the offered titles that I have now.
     Suffice it to say, I have not read The Count of Monte Cristo, so I cannot speak of the story. I read enough of the descriptions online, though, to know that the story involved being at sea, so I chose the cool ship charm for these bracelets. I'll just leave the photos here for you to have a peek at. If you have a friend who loves the French classics, this makes a great gift!

Outlander Season 3 Premier

     So, it looks like the long Droughtlander will last until sometime in September 2017. It appears that the filming is taking a long time due to production difficulties and location changes.

     So, who is a fan of this show? My family and I blew through the first five seasons of this show, it was that good! Even though it is a very tame show (we are used to watching shows on HBO and other paid channels), it still has lots of drama and excitement.  Getting to watch Henry (played by Jared S. Gilmore) grow up from a cute, precocious young boy, to the teen he is now is a bonus. 

     Since I create bracelets from books, creating from a popular TV show is impossible, unless of course, someone writes a book. Lucky for me, Odette Beane wrote a companion book called Reawakened.

     Raise your had if you are a horse crazy girl! If not, do you know one?

     I first rode a horse at age three, and it stuck with me. We were on vacation in California, from our home in Illinois, and my cousin had a horse that she let us play around on. From that moment, I was sucked in! I begged my parents for years to buy me a horse. That dream finally came true when I was 33 and I had my horse, Missy, until her death nine year later, when she was 27.

     As a horse crazy kid, I also loved any horse book I could get my hands on. The Black Stallion by Walter Farley was one of them. I loved the movie too, but I have always been a "the book was better than the movie" kind of girl.

     Of course, you know I had to make this book into bracelets!

She's Come Undone

     Have you ever read a Wally Lamb book? I had a custom request for She's Come Undone last year and the request included specific words to appear. I had to skim the book in order to find the words. So, while I did not read the book, I did kind of read the book. It looks like a sad story with interesting plot twists. It was a bit depressing for me, but I know that it really resonated with a lot of people.

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings

     I have a giant TBR (to be read) stack of books, and even more on my kindle. So, in the spirit of full disclosure, I often do not know the story, who it relates to, or what makes it good. I only know that it has resonated with a large number of people.
     Here is one of those books. I know it's good and it is in my pile of eventual readings. But, it doesn't make sense to wait to put this out, right? I would not want to keep these from you! These are two bracelets made using Maya Angelou's "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings"

     My Charlotte's Web bracelets were a surprise winner for me. I did not expect to be getting into children's books, as my customers mostly come looking for fandom types of items, such as Outlander, and Harry Potter. I had taken Charlotte's Web as a custom order to be given as a teacher's gift (the gift went over very well, by the way!).
     Since then, my sales of Charlotte's Web items exploded! I have had orders for teacher's gifts, actor gifts for Charlotte's Web stage productions, and just for fun.
